Mindy brings over 20 years experience in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, Advertising, Community Relations, Business Development, Fundraising and Customer Service to every project she undertakes. She is highly skilled in vendor negotiations, people management, and simplifying the most complicated event needs.
Her trademark is her attention to detail and her ability to think quickly on her feet, solving problems swiftly and effectively. She has the unique talent to determine her client's needs and deliver them with successful results. Mindy's events produce feelings of camaraderie and excitement, which equal a memorable, outstanding event. Being the consummate professional, she makes it all look easy while making the client look like a superstar. Her background includes employment with Fortune 500 companies Rueben H. Donnelly, Pitney Bowes and Chase Manhattan Bank. As director of Sales & Marketing for Chase Manhattan's Conference Center, Mindy managed the conference center, from a start-up to over $3 million dollars in revenue, a client base of over 60 corporations and the implementation of more than 1200 meetings within the first year.
In 1995 she started, S'Mall Happenings Inc. and created an award winning family program called "Kid's Causes." This community event took place monthly in Long Island's Walt Whitman & Broadway Malls for four years. S'Mall Happenings Inc. grew rapidly and has now evolved into The Event Company. The Event Company is a full service Event Marketing firm that plans a multitude of events and marketing programs for an impressive roster of ever-growing clients.
 Laurette Gnaegy Kovary, Designer and Resident Artist
Laurette Gnaegy Kovary's creative vision and artistic expression can transform spaces of any scale into detailed thematic and custom designed environments. Laurette is a cum laude graduate of Pratt University. She is an award winning artist whose work has been featured in the nation's finest galleries. No challenge is too great for Laurette, using her boundless creativity she designs custom unique art often using recycled and innovative materials to create branded environments that communicate a unique marketing point of view.
